The Kingfisher represents abundance.
The community appreciates the abundance of great restaurants and dining experiences found throughout Downtown Pittsburgh.
ICONS TO LOOK FOR:
Clock: Represents Tic Toc Restaurant, the longest running Kaufmann’s eatery. Opened in 1955, the restaurant was named in homage to the famous Kaufmann’s clock, where generations of Pittsburghers would say, “Meet me under the Kaufmann’s clock.”
Oyster shell: Represents The Original Oyster House in Market Square, which opened in 1870 and is the oldest bar and restaurant in the ‘Burgh
Triangle (with heart at top): Represents Top of the Triangle restaurant, which opened in 1970 and became a premier downtown dining destination
Pierogie: Represents Pittsburgh’s many Polish and ethnic food traditions
